cirò white wine
Probably the first population to bring the art of winemaking to Calabria were the Greeks 2700 years ago. They called these areas’ Enotria ‘, which means’ land where the vine is grown high above the earth.
The viticulture of Calabria is dominated by two vines, the red Gaglioppo and the white Greco. However, the wines made from these grapes of Greek origin can vary greatly in style from one vineyard to another and many other grapes are often used in small quantities to impart different characteristics to the wines produced.
